This is a 'watermelon radish' variety, but it has more diversity in shape and color than the commercial standard varieties. Skin colors include white with green shoulders, white with purple shoulders, a mix of both, and solid magenta. Interior colors range from fully pink to mostly white (in some of the magenta radishes). The flavor is spicy when raw, and great sliced thinly, and mellows and sweetens when cooked. They are great for stir-fries and sautéing.
*The roots are topped and washed with sanitized water, then packed into a plastic bag for storage. They should last several weeks in the refrigerator when stored properly, in the bag or a crisper (or both).
