Exfoliating and Replenishing Salt Scrub for the Body
Upon opening this jar, uplifting aromas of eucalyptus invigorate the senses. As the scrub is massaged into the skin, the eucalyptus gives way to the lingering scent of grapefruit: refreshing and cheerful. The mineral rich Dead Sea salt exfoliates and replenishes the skin while the herb-infused organic extra virgin olive oil moisturizes and heals leaving skin silky smooth and nourished. The herbs that infuse the oil with their healing extracts are sustainably sourced from organic farms, gardens, or ethically wildcrafted.
To Use: clean skin with warm soap and water. Use spoon to scoop scrub into palm and massage over body for a few minutes. Rinse off with warm water. Avoid eyes, sensitive areas and open wounds. Stop use if irritation occurs. Avoid letting water into jar to prolong shelf life.
Ingredients:
Extra Virgin Olive Oil*: deeply moisturizing, suitable for most skin types. Rich in antioxidants which may help heal skin after sun exposure and slow the agingprocess.
Eucalyptus**:
I love harvesting the fresh new leaves at the base of the trunks. These leaves seem to hold the strongest concentration of essential oils that I know will carry through to the finished product and flood the senses with a characteristic smell of Coastal California. Eucalyptus helps improve circulation, is anti-inflammatory and anti-septic helping to keep skin feeling clean and vibrant. The strong aromatics help relieve stress.
Lavender*: In addition to being a wonderfully scented purple flower, lavender is extremely beneficial to the skin for its anti-inflammatory properties. It can help reduce swelling, calm skin and reduce the appearance of scars. The natural antimicrobial and antioxidant properties help neutralize the skin's pH as well as clear bacteria and excess oils.
Calendula*: A bright and cheerful orange-yellow flower holds a plethora of skin healing properties. It is shown to be antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic. It can help with mild infections, rashes, bruises, burns, ulcers and many other skin related issues. It is soothing and gentle enough for babies and often an ingredient in natural diaper rash creams.
Comfrey*: Another skin healing herb, commonly found as a weed in gardens! The fuzzy green leaves hold properties that when applied to the skin help with wounds, ulcers, eczema, bruises, varicose veins and pain relief and more.
Grapefruit Peel*: Extremely high in Vitamin C which your body uses to produce collagen- a fiber that helps improve skin's elasticity and tone. The Vitamin C content helps break the bonds of dead skin cells to living skin... in other words; it exfoliates skin leaving it smooth and supple.
Essential oils of Grapefruit* and Eucalyptus* for an uplifting aroma
