This special soothing salve is a cherished family recipe passed down to me from my Grandma Casey. Our Golden Salve takes quite a bit of time & intention to create. I first gather calendula petals, chamomile flowers and comfrey leaves from our apothecary garden and then prepare them for an olive oil infusion. I feel lucky to have saved calendula seeds from Grandma Casey's ranch garden.
During the summer I use the solar heat (aka mama sun) to warm the herbs in local olive oil which can take up to 4-6 weeks for full herbal infusion. Then I turn that amazing nutrient rich infused oil into salve that can be applied to cuts, burns, rashes, and chapped skin.
- Beeswax: Seals moisture in the skin.
- Calendula: A wound healing herb that can reduce inflammation of infected and irritated skin.
- Infused Calendula Olive Oil helps soothe chapped, burned, dry, irritated skin.
- *Wildcrafted Calendula, Chamomile and Comfrey Lead infused Olive Oil, *local beeswax, *french lavender essential oil, Neem Oil, frankincense, tea tree, rosemary .
With clean hands, gently massage a small amount into beat up skin! Repeat night and day until skin is repaired.
